Application:

UV drying hardens dyes, inks, printing inks, coatings, adhesives and other UV-sensitive materials by utilising polymerisation instead of volatilisation of solvents. Until now, conventional UV lamps containing mercury have been utilised for hardening processes. Meanwhile the more efficient, more environmentally friendly UV LED technology has now created a tried and tested and superior alternative. Unlike mercury vapour lamps, LED hardening utilises semiconductor-based LEDs to generate ultraviolet (UV) light. BELTRON relies on the advantages of UV LED technology with maximised performance capabilities, reliability and UV energy.

Design:

The complete, ready to operate device is equipped with a UV LED irradiation unit. Since the heat generated by UV LED irradiation is only 1/10 of the heat generated by conventional UV irradiation, the cooling and exhaust fans are thereby smaller and consume correspondingly less electricity. The plant is designed for a printing area with a 200 mm working width. The lamp can be switched on and off immediately so that no quick-closing fastener is required in production use. The UV power is adjustable in a range of 20-100%.
